NFL FLAG leagues are no contact football, giving boys and girls of all abilities a chance to develop their fundamental football skills in a positive, inclusive environment. No previous football experience is necessary. The Mountain Lake Area Flag Football League is for kids that are familiar with the game of football and for kids who are new to the game!

Fall Program:

Open to boys and girls currently in Kindergarten through 8th grade from any school. Players will find out their team at jersey pickup.

WHEN:

Saturday Mornings (September 13, 20, 27, October 4, 11)

9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Kindergarten/1st Grade Teams

9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. 4th/5th Grade Teams

10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 2nd/3rd Grade Teams & 6th/7th/8th Grade Teams

COST:

The cost for MLA Flag Football League is $50 per player which includes a game jersey. Payment can be made online at the time of registration. If you are paying by check or cash, payment must be received by MLPS by September 3rd. Your child's jersey will NOT be ordered until payment is received. If we have not received your payment by this date a late fee of $10 will be applied to your registration. Checks payable to Mountain Lake Public School (MLPS).

Jersey Pick Up:

Player's jerseys will need to be picked up on Wednesday, September 10^th between 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m at MLPS door #23, near the flag football fields.

EQUIPMENT:

No equipment is required. Mouth guards are recommended.

STRUCTURE:

The first session will focus on the kids getting to know their teams, their coaches, and the basic format of Flag Football. This session will be mostly practice with a scrimmage. Sessions 2 through 4 will be composed of a short practice and two games, and the last session will be in tournament format.

LOCATION:

All games will be played on the grass area behind the Mountain Lake Public School on 5th Ave.

REGISTRATION:

Online registration closes Tuesday, September 2nd.  

Volunteer coaches are needed. Coaches received free participation in this season of Flag Football. Coaches must be approved by the Mountain Lake Public School and pass a background check.
